HOUSE OF STONE

Constructed in 1974, the Casa de Penedo (House of Stone) is located in the mountainous region of Fafe, Portugal. Originally intended as a rural retreat, in recent years it has become such a tourist attraction that the owner has had to move elsewhere. Subject to vandalism and burglary attempts, the house has now been equipped with bulletproof glass and a steel door. Inside, however, this unique abode seems rustic and cozy.
